Woe to those that piss off the fan-nerds

So I just saw Star Trek into Darkness this holiday weekend, and here is one opinion on that (SPOILER WARNING)……

To quote the ever relevant Peter Griffin, “Do you know what grinds my gears?”, Damon Lindelof. Of course Damon is a who, not a what, but still, my gears have been grinded.

When he was just writing for some show on TV (Lost) that I never watched, I could care less. I heard a lot of people talk about the show. Complain about the show. How IT was LOST. But none of that mattered to me. I wasn’t watching, so I didn’t care. But now, Mr. Lindelof has somehow penned his way into two franchises that I have a vested interest in, Aliens and Star Trek. Has anyone made sense of Prometheus? You can’t! There is so much bad writing in that script, that its impossible to sit back and be entertained. For instance, a future (2093) geologist, using the latest scientific advancements, like mapping spheres, and is in communication with his ship that can pin-point his exact location, gets LOST. Really? As for Star Trek into Darkness? Was I the only one sitting in the theater wondering why Lt. Uhura was yelling for Spock NOT to kill Khan because we need his blood to breathe life back into Kirk’s dead body, when on the USS Enterprise was 74 other Khan-sickles who’s blood could be used to revitalize the good Captain? Uggggg!

One is left to wonder if Mr. Lindelof was a ghost writer on Avatar.

To see how Prometheus should have ended…….http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JLbcZggwVCw
